Cystic Acne? I have bad cystic acne on my face where my beard should be. It started when my facial hair started growing in around 17 and it has been from getting bad to semi-better and then bad again for 2 years now. I've tried everything from prescriptions, home remedies, over the counter, pro active, murad...... basically everything except accutane. I'm wondering if anybody knows of anything that worked for them with this type of acne. I'm leaning towards the accutane because I am absolutely sick of the pain, embarrassment, dryness, and wasted money associated with this acne. Any suggestions?

I've been off accutane for a few months but now I have a few cystic acne scars on the side of my face from the severe acne I had. What kind of cream could I use or natural supplement could I take to heal the scars, repair the damaged skin or make the cystic acne scars shrink. I went to the dermatologist 2 years ago and she insisted that I take a huge bottle of these pills that she pescribed to me as opposed to a certain cream I was asking for because I hate taking pills. And please dont tell me Clean and Clear, Clearasil, Murad, ProActive will do the trick because they only treat "regular" pimples as opposed to cystic acne and I've tried all of them ...The pills that the 1st dermatologist pescribed also interfered with my bc pills, which was another reason why I decided not to take them anymore. I've heard from a lot of people that washing your face too much will increase the amount of oil on your face especially during summer. I think Cetaphil will only work if you have pimples that have risen to the top of your skin. Cystic are pimples that are deep in your skin and create huge red annoying bumbs on your face
