Acne Rosacea? I am 18 years old and my entire face is pinkish red. Until about January of 2007, my face was a normal color and I had very mild acne. From that point on, my acne has gotten slightly worse and my face has gotten and has remained pink! Could this be acne rosacea? My dermatologist said that some peoples' face are just red, but mine wasn't a little more than a year ago!!!

Acne rosacea? I have been suffering with acne rosacea for nearly a year and to date nothing that I try seems to work. I have been to the doctor several times. I am allergic to most of what they perscribe and what I am not allergic to just doesn't help. The past three months I have been using a skin care system called "Zen Med". It helps a little, but not enough. There are so many treatment options on-line, it can really confuse you as to choosing what is right for you. Does anyone have any suggestions? And please no "See a dermatologist" suggestions. I have with no results. I haven't looked "normal" in nearly a year now.
acne/rosacea? I have mild acne, but thats not what really bugs me, when i wake up in the morning i am really really red right by the creases of my nose and mouth, it wont go away, and i already take doxycycline for it, any moisturizers or suggestions that might calm my skin a bit, its rather irritated. thanks for the help!
How is rosacea acne typically treated? I am a young hispanic male, I don't fit the description of people who are prone to acne rosacea. I am going to a dermatologist soon, what is the typical treatment? Should I expect blood to be drawn?
Can the homeopathic rhus toxicodendron help with acne rosacea? I'm two months into a three month course of anti-biotics for acne rosacea. I'm taking two Erythromycin tablets a day, but it doesn't seem to be helping. A friend suggested I try homeopathy but I've never tried it. She gave me a container of rhus toxicodendron with all the instructions written on the side (don't touch them etc.) Can I take both at the same time? will it help? any advice appreciated.

Acne rosacea. Do you have it? What has helped your skin? I have acne rosacea. I have had medicines several times which helped, but it always comes back and flares up. I have found taking Vitamin C 500g a day seems to help, maybe it is boosting my immune system to fight the infection? Has anything helped your skin?
Has anyone treated acne rosacea with Accutane? If you have rosacea (perhaps Papulopustular) and have used Accutane to treat it can you tell me how it worked for you? Any info would be appreciated. I'm really looking for advice more so about Rosacea so if you have tips on that (re: your Accutane experience).

I've tried different brands of mineral make up but they seem to be making my acne rosacea flare up? Bare Escentuals, Avon and Maybelline. I thought mineral foundation was meant to be good for problem skin?!

I'm 34 and for the past 20 years or so I've dealt with what I believe is acne rosacea--my T-zone and chin get red all the time, especially during that time of the month. Washing daily with Noxzema seems to help...but it's still there. I hardly get acne...just the redness.

Do i have rosacea or is it from acne medication? I have always had a golden colered skin and when i would be in the sun i would get a nice brown tan. i started getting some acne so i went on ziana and a couple other topicals. My face suddenly started getting red around the cheeks. Im off all topicals right now and went to an oral pill. Do i have rosacea or is this just a side affect that will go away. I have had acne for a very long time, and it wont go away, how do i know if its not rosacea? I have had acne for about two years and it wont go away. I have used clinique, proactiv, everything that you can buy at the store. Then i went to the dermatoligist and she presrcibed me a medication to use. I have used it for about 5 weeks now and there has been still no improvment. I dont know if I have rosacea or not becuase everything I have used never works.
When it comes to acne or rosacea, will starving almost to death get rid of it??? I read somewhere that such extreme measures as that can kill most of the yeast and bacteria population in the body that causes the skin diseases. You starve not only yourself but the bacteria/fungus which dies when its got nothing to feed on eventually. i will seriously do anything to get rid of my problem after having tried EVERYTHING.
Anyone know the best things for Acne Rosacea? Just wondering cause I have been on metro gel and tetracycline to control it and they don't seem to work. It seems I am a lucky one, no acne at all in high school but as an adult I am cursed. I woulda rather been a pizza face in high school...lol thanks for your responses

Acne Rosacea and Steroids? hi i have been recently diagnosed with acne rosacea and the other one erthema rosacea i think thats how you spell it, any way the doctor has prescribed me with oral antibiotics for two months but also a hydrocortisone cream to apply to the papules, now i have been using it for a week and its helped with the papules alot but i have read on internet that steroids can make rosacea come back twice as bad so should i trust my doctor and carry on using it or should i just ride it out without the steroids to allow the antibiotics to do there job?
Is it acne? Rosacea? Something else...? I have this patch of skin on my left cheek - starting from just under the bone of my eye socket spreading to about mid cheek - that has been causing me trouble on and off for about 7 years. The first time I noticed this patch was in high-school. I tried a new facial cleanser and it caused this patch (which prior had been just like the rest of my face) to flare up into a brutal pussy super itchy rash. I stopped using the cleanser immediately and saw my dermatologist. He said it was an allergic reaction to the soap (obviously...) and gave me hydrocortisone cream. Which worked that time to make it go away - but my skin has never been the same since! And the hydrocortisone cream doesn't seem to work anymore. If anything, it makes it worse. So since then I've just had this patch that is SUPER sensitive and volatile. Numerous things cause it to "flare up" - cold weather, hot humid weather, and especially any moisturizer/soap/toner/sunscreen/etc. When it flares up it turns into this rash of itchy redness with red bumps and then it takes a couple of weeks of ideal conditions for it go away. Although, I really feel like it never fully goes away, because I can never treat it like normal skin. Anyway, it's not the biggest deal - just an annoyance. I've tried googling this and have read about rosacea and acne and I just can't seem to figure out what it is! I'm quite certain it's not acne because I have mild (i.e. blackheads on my nose and a blemish here and there around my chin) acne and everything that works for my acne makes the skin patch BURN and get worse immediately. It doesn't seem like acne, the bumps are *different* from regular blemishes, they are more like a heat rash type bumps. And the thing that is so curious to me is that all of my skin was exposed to the initial cleanser that triggered it, but the rest of my skin is fine - it's JUST this patch. Why should that be?!? Anyway, I would love to find out what this skin patch is because I'd love to find a successful treatment for it. And it would be nice to be able to establish a regular skin routine instead of having to carefully wash/apply toner/moisturize the rest of my face while avoiding this patch, which I should note looks absolutely normal when it's not flaring up. Does anyone else have this? What could it be?
Cure for Acne Rosacea? I have both but the combined verson. So basically when i get pimples they redden the WHOLE area and i cant get the redness down even when the pimple goes away. How do i get rid of it? I only discovered recently i had it because ive seen severe acne cases but its not as red as mine, then i saw acne rosacea cases and they look exactly like mine..except mines like everywhere except for my jaw line and around my mouth/eyes...Do any of you know some natural remedies? tablets/pills? creams? I live in aus. And theres a product called Zemmed But it will block my pores and considering i still have severe acne it would make it worse. What can do do to make the redness cease? do i need to stay away form specific foods? Any imput is ok with me. Thanks.
Does acne rosacea make me ugly? My red face makes me look so ugly! I’m a 15 year old boy and have a very red face which i think is acne rosacea it’s like in blotches and mostly around my nose and cheeks area. It really makes me lose self confidence knowing my face looks this red. It makes me look gross, and makes me depressed. If I could clear it up my life would be great. Should I come off Benzyl Peroxide (for acne) if it is making my rosacea worse? People ask me if I am sunburnt (when I'm not) that's how bad my rosacea gets. It is helping my acne but it makes my face scarlet red almost.

What can one do to acne accompanied by darker skin in that zone? The area on both the sides of my chin has numerous acne on them.I use Clindamycin in those zones.Though the acne disappears,it reappears after sometime,and also my skin there is becoming rough and a bit darker.The dermatologist has diagonised it as acne rosacea.Please advice.

ACNE ROSACEA - is this a form of it? Hello :) About 2 years ago I developed a red group of dots on my upper lip which looked like a rash. After going to the doctors I was told it was acne Rosacea. The doctor gave me some cream to use but it didn't work. Eventually it went but I think this was due to the sun just drying it up! Ever since hitting puberty and getting spots, I've noticed my cheeks have always been naturally redder than my face and a bit blotchy. I have very large pores on my cheeks too. Acne rosacea / Tetralysal lymecycline 300mg dosage question? Hi. I'm 46 and I have had acne rosacea developing for the last two years but really taking a hold about six months ago. The doctor put me on a three month course of Erythromycin but it didn't work at all, and two months after finishing it, my bowels are only just beginning to return to normal. My acne has really spread and is bright red, sore, bumpy and flaky. It's all over my cheeks and nose and what looks like psoriasis is beginning in my hair. I went back to the doctor again today and he prescribed Tetralysal 300 mg to be taken twice a day. My question is this, is twice a day the normal dosage? I've looked on forums (not joined in yet) and everybody says once a day. Any advice on this and any other advice on Acne Rosacea appreciated. Thank you.
Seeking help for acne/rosacea? I am 32 yrs old and I have acne rosacea. The condition isn't extremely severe, but it's bad enough to where I get about four pimples a month and my face is permanently ruddy. I have been to see a derm and received little help, as I am allergic to doxycycline which is the primary way that the condition is treated, and topicals such as Fineca only make matters worse. I have also seen an estethician, but I cannot afford thousands of dollars right now for laser surgery. I read about a diet on-line where you consume no sugar and only have 30 grams of carbs per day. I have been on it for two days, so it's too early to tell if it will help my skin, but I am worried about eating only 30 carbs a day as I am underweight and don't want to lose anymore. I only weigh 100 lbs. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I have tried A LOT of home remedies as well as OTC products. I have used alpha hydroxy, zinc, sulpher, chammomile tea, aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, emu oil, Zenmed, Bioskin, Zhoung Zhou cream, etc. Nothing has really helped. The last item has done more than the others, but I am not cleared up. I know that this is a tough question, seeing as I have tried so much, but any help would REALLY be appreciated. Thanks.
What's a good facewash for acne/rosacea? i have combined skin , on my T zone i get oily and the rest is dry , i've been breaking out lately but i dont know why , & i dont know what face washes or cream, cleansers or anything i can buy ? something that i can buy at drug stores. or maybe from the clinique line
acne rosacea skin question? Well 2 months ago I was prescribed Minocycline for my skin (mild acne/rosacea) and it's cleared up my face by like 75% at least, but I still have a few red marks from spots that were previously there, when will they go away??? Like the types of stuff I get are small red bumps on the cheeks and chin and nose and forehead and occasionally it will be a big one that leaves a red mark when it goes:S
acne rosacea due to over exposure to the sun? I have acne rosacea. I was on doxycycline for close to 6months since Jan till late June. But i have stopped taking it since. Now, the symptoms are like coming back.. but i'm trying to control it using aloe vera gel etc. I wanna know, i had rosacea because i over exposed myself to the sun (without using sunscreen protection), it's not hereditary. May i know if i'm able to regain back my normal complexion? Or at least control it to the minimum using any methods? Like taking vitamins etc. I don't want go for laser etc, my skin is already very sensitive, i do not wish to agitate it again. Thanks
Am i having Acne Rosacea? i am 15...i have been getting acne..before it was all normal recently i had used benzoyl peroxide which burn my skin..but i have two patches of acne redness on my cheeks..it has been 3 months..they are not going away :S they get worse at times..Is this Rosacea? i need my skin to be like it was before :(. i have a fair complexion and the red patches.they don't really look great :(.. HELPP!!! my dermatologist has prescribed me with clindamycin and adapalene gel.. HELP!! Natural Methods For Acne Rosacea.? Hi. I used to take doxycycline for half a year for my Acne Rosacea. But I've stopped taking since 3 months ago and everything is recurring once again. I wanna know if there is any thing to eat that has the same effect as doxycycline? I heard doxycycline actually kills the bacteria and thus all those Papules and pustules are gone and it helps to ease the redness too. Any natural methods?? For oral application.. i heard organic cider vinegar works but i don't know...
I don't know if i have slight rosacea or the traditional acne facial redness? on my forehead i small alittle small acne look alike bumps and it's a bit red on the center bottom of my forehead. On my nose and cheeks, there are some like regular bumps that doesn't look like pimples and some redness. What do I have?
Acne/Rosacea in 60 yr old Female? I am 60 Female. Within last few months been having cystic breakouts with redness only on 1 side of my face. Right Side. Went to MD said Rosacea, but meds made it worse. Went to an esthetician, said it looked like cystic acne and sessions somewhat helped. Just confused as to why only on right side only and no where else I do have stomach issues and read this can contribute. Was tested for H Pylori and was negative. I used a new make up and stopped that. Just cant figure it out. Just hoping nothing wrong with immune system. I do have hashimotos but thyroid meds made worse. any help I have been housebound for a week as it is so bad and did not want to put any makeup on. Can anyone think of a condition that would cause this medically. going to a different derm in 2 weeks. Thanks in advance
Face itchy/breakouts/acne rosacea? A bit of background... I am 21 years old and have had bad skin since I was 12... about a year ago the dermatologist told me I had acne rosacea and prescribed nizoral, which made (some) of the redness and horrible bumpy texture go down, but I can never seem to get my skin past "okay" (still many blemishes, scars, bumps, isolated pimples). I notice that often my face gets itchy after I eat sugary foods/carbohydrates (or just a lot of food in general!). I drink a lot of water, wash my face twice a day with a gentle cleanser, use a noncomedogenic moisturizer in the mornings (my skin gets terribly dry in the winter). I still can't get my skin to look as good as I would like it to...I am wondering if I perhaps have some sort of allergy? I don't know what I would do if that were the case, because the itchiness starts after I eat many kinds of food, and it would be really limiting to only stick to the few foods that don't cause that reaction. I also am usually under a considerable amount of stress virtually all of the time (I am a senior in college and my schedule is pretty hectic), which I am trying to reduce because I have heard that stress can cause breakouts. Has anyone had a similar experience/any advice?

How to clear rosacea/acne? Ok I have rosacea or acne rosacea on my face, all around my nose and on my cheeks, I've been to a dermatologist but what they gave me, didn't work at all. Which is MetroGel 0.75%. I wash my face, let it dry then I cover it up, EVERYDAY!
